To get this resolved we ask that you to post an Unsupported Device report to this section of the Cronus Community Support Forum so that it can be investigated by our development team. Removing these error codes or restoring access to a corrupted device requires an Emergency Recovery.
UNPLUG EVERYTHING FROM THE ZEN AND WAIT 30 SECONDS BEFORE CONTINUING TO STEP 2. Note 1: If the Zen displays Error Code E3001 or E3002 with glowing RED RGB LEDs after you perform a hard reset, the Zen has likely developed a fault and should be replaced under its warranty.
Note 2: If nothing is displayed on the LED screen, the Zen has likely developed a fault and should be replaced under its warranty. Make sure you left the Zen untouched with nothing connected to it for 30 seconds after performing a hard reset before continuing to this next step.
This step is very important, the button must be held down BEFORE a USB cable is connected. With the reset button still held down, connect a micro-USB cable from Zen's rear CONSOLE USB port to your Windows PC (or a Mac running Windows) .
You are using Windows 7 and didn't install the driver patch (See the Downloads page) In the unlikely event that you have checked all these steps, and you're still having issues, be sure to note each step that you have done to get to this point and post a ticket to the Cronus Support Center where a professional can help resolve your issue.
Once complete, disconnect everything from the Zen and wait a few seconds before proceeding to Step 3. Make sure Zen Studio is closed before deleting the Cronus Zen folder.
A factory reset performed by Zen Studio erases all memory slots and returns all Cronus Zen options to their default status. Be sure to check you have the latest version of Zen Studio before continuing and open it in Administrator Mode (File Relaunch as Admin).
Note: In the unlikely event that Zen Studio still fails detect, or you are unable to program because of a FAILED error message, even after resolving the USB issues above, the Zen has likely developed a fault and should be replaced under its warranty). If your Zen has failed any of these Steps and you have tried different USB cables and even on a different computer, then sadly, it is likely your Cronus device has developed a fault and needs to be returned to your point of purchase for a new replacement.
Mouse & Keyboard support is specifically designed for consoles, so PC performance may vary depending on the game and controller you are using. PC games must support Xbox 360 controllers as this is what the Zen emulates in Windows.
Some games may only offer limited support, check the Cronus Community for more details. The Emulator Output Protocol in Zen Studio must be set to either PC/MOBILE or XBOX 360, otherwise the PC will not detect that a controller is available for gaming.
Cronus Zen is compatible with all models of Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Zen also connects to Windows PC with full Xbox One and DualShock 4 emulation.
Legacy support is also given to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles, including many Android devices (requires OTG cable). Note: You can check the Zen User Guide for a more comprehensive compatibility list.
Note: A full list of compatible devices can be found in the Zen User Guide. Cronus Zen uses stealth technology and is 100% fully undetectable online due to how we use an original controller for its security ID.
We do recommend you don’t go too crazy though, as other players may scream at you for owning them so easily The processing power of the Zen is exponentially more powerful than that of its predecessor, the Cronus PLUS, and features a new data transport engine that is currently featured in another device we provide to every professional team in the Call of Duty League and World Championships.
We have worked closely with some of the best eSports players in the world to make sure that this hardware is as seamless as if you were connected directly to the console. We set out to make a Mouse & Keyboard to Console experience that was on par with the best.
Note: Check out the Cronus Community for the latest M&K game profiles and best settings. Note: For correct “Authentication”, Cronus Zen requires a wired original licensed controller.
Both Xbox One and PS4 wired & wireless headsets are supported, and they can connect direct to your controller. We have even added support for CROSSOVER AUDIO, so you can use your Xbox One Headset, connected to an Xbox One controller, connected to a PlayStation 4 with no lag, which makes Cronus Zen the first device in the world to offer this unique feature.
Note: See User Guide on how to set up Headsets with different controllers and consoles. All Bluetooth features are built straight into the device to give you a completely seamless and cost-effective experience.
