We would also like to advise all visitors to familiarize themselves on the guidance of their tiered area before visiting Paradise Wildlife Park. We have implemented a one-way system, installed additional hand sanitizer stations at regular intervals across the site and taken many other precautions to give you and your family peace of mind.

In Tier3 areas, you cannot meet socially indoors or in most outdoor places with anyone you don’t live with or outside your support bubble, akin to the national lockdown. In addition, there can be no public attendance at spectator sport or indoor performances at venues such as theaters.

Retailers, including big box stores, are operating at just 25 percent capacity as the holiday season approaches. After 14 days, the Illinois Department of Public Health will look at the metrics and decide whether the state stays at Tier3, or puts more restrictions in place.

Casinos and betting shops have offered to voluntarily introduce fresh COVID-19 restrictions in order to be allowed to re- open in Tier3 areas after the latest English lockdown. The unprecedented offer came as it emerged that six casinos have closed their doors for good this year, with one operator forced to cut their workforce by more than 40 per cent.

Both sectors hope that the enhanced safety measures will persuade the Government to allow them to open in Tier3 areas once the current lockdown ends. In his letters, Mr Defer said: “Our members are fully supportive of the Government’s efforts to tackle COVID-19.

• Hospitality businesses and venues selling food for consumption off the premises can continue to do so after 10pm as long as this is through delivery service, click-and-collect or drive-through. • Early closure (11pm) applies to casinos, cinemas, theaters, concert halls, museums, bowling alleys, amusement arcades, carnivals, theme parks, adventure parks and activities and bingo halls.

Cinemas, theaters and concert halls can stay open beyond 11pm in order to conclude performances that start before 10pm. • Public attendance at spectator sport and business events can resume inside and outside, subject to social contact rules and limited to whichever is lower: 50 per cent capacity, or either 4,000 people outdoors or 1,000 people indoors.

• Places of worship remain open, but you must not attend or socialize in groups of more than six people while there, unless a legal exemption applies. Avoid travel to or overnight stays in Tier3 areas other than where necessary, such as for work, education, youth services, to receive medical treatment, or because of caring responsibilities.

• International travel can occur subject to Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office guidance and air corridor requirements. • Organized outdoor sport, physical activity and exercise classes can continue.

• Organized indoor sport and exercise classes can continue to take place, provided the Rule of Six is followed. • People must not meet with anybody outside their household or support bubble in any indoor setting, whether at home or in a public place.

• Hospitality businesses and venues selling food and drink for consumption off the premises can continue to do so after 10pm as long as this is through delivery service, click-and-collect or drive-through. Cinemas, theaters and concert halls can stay open beyond 11pm in order to conclude performances that start before 10pm.

• Public attendance at spectator sport and business events can resume inside and outside, subject to social contact rules and limited to whichever is lower: 50 per cent capacity, or either 2,000 people outdoors or 1,000 people indoors. • Places of worship remain open, but you must not socialize with people from outside your household or support bubble while you are indoors there, unless a legal exemption applies.
