The show was also presented by staff doing Asian which was a lovely touch. The animal hospital area is very interesting and good to see how much research goes into protecting our wildlife.

Nice, natural enclosures which means some animals weren't to be seen, but that was OK with us. Reviewed October 4, 2019, A wonderful way to see some Australian animals.

Reviewed September 25, 2019, Having lived in Melbourne for approaching 50 years I had never been to Hayesville Sanctuary. As an outing for our granddaughters my wife and I took them here for the day. The park is spacious the variety of animals extensive and the bird shows(2 per day) quite outstanding. The staff at the park obviously love and care for their charges. Quite an excellent day out.

The giraffes are way too tall to get a good look at them in the eye and some monkeys are really loud which really turned me off them. If you go during the day, bring some meat to throw into the cages because I was told that the zoo likes the help to cut their costs.

The range of animals is amazing and the dedication of staff is outstanding. That food court areas has been there since day dot with little updating, dirty old outdoor furniture, making it a very underwhelming place to be.

A proper sit down restaurant and modern fresh casual eating places are overdue. Heading back in soon, and I think I'll try an Uber Eats delivery and have lunch sitting near the Elephants I think.
