Not much is known about the DLC yet other than that it will introduce Super Taiwan Blue and probably pit the player against Golden Frieze, but fans may still want to prepare. For the most part, Dragon Ball Z : Apart DLC 1 provided everything the player needed in order to enjoy its content.
Community boards are a somewhat quirky mechanic within the game that are fairly easy to overlook, but they provide some powerful bonuses that will no doubt prove useful to players in their fight against Golden Frieze. The bonuses provided from the highest level recipes are incredible, and a maxed out cooking board ensures that they will always be multiplied by a great success.
If Dragon Ball Z : Apart DLC 2 raises the level cap from 250 to 300 or even 350, having the boost of earning double experience will help players reach that goal much faster and take the fight to Golden Frieze even sooner. At this point, the Development, Gods, and Adult community boards are mostly useless, though it doesn't hurt to have them maxed out if the player still has some grinding they need to do for Zen or Z Orbs.
There have been many elements added to the game to give it a true RPG feel. While you can skip it entirely, it is not really recommended because it will make the game a lot harder and bosses much more difficult.

With a length of over 40 hours to get through the main story, Dragon Ball Z : Apart might linger a bit too long for those looking for a varied experience, as the variety in side quests is incredibly lacking. While everything looks pretty enough and with a healthy dose of fan service and nostalgia for those who are diehard Dragon Ball Z fans, it often feels like more effort than it’s worth.
For a certain age group, Dragon Ball Z was a first foray into the world of serialized kids television, with characters, a sense of humor and lots of screaming. With the scale of the concept, the developers at Interconnect 2, of Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm and Aura’s Wrath fame gave it their best shot.
It looks like someone has littered all over the place, and the system being partially dependent upon unlockable skills makes for an unsatisfying grind at certain points. You’re able to find nuggets of memories in the world that call back to the original Dragon Ball series, in addition to being able to meet beloved characters and help them out along the way.
There’s a lot for fans to chew on, so where it falls down in mechanical depth or effect in the actual world, it makes up for in pure, unadulterated fan service. However, the way skills and button placement are dealt with left a bad taste in my mouth thanks to confusing menu navigation.
Instead of simply being a button-basher, Dragon Ball Z : Apart relies on reading and learning your enemy’s moves, and counter attacking at opportune moments to deal some huge damage. While it’s an opening to attack, his consecutive spinning kicks can chop off a huge chunk of your health bar if you’re not being careful.
It’s no Dragon Quest 11 when it comes to overall presentation, and in smaller moments we couldn’t help but see that there was incredibly limited character animation, which can detract from the experience. With a length of over 40 hours to get through the main story, Dragon Ball Z : Apart might linger a bit too long for those looking for a varied experience, as the variety in side quests is incredibly lacking.
