Large wicking ports prevent your coils from burning out prematurely or delivering an unpleasant taste. The Invoking Zenith Coils are exceptionally durable and reliable thanks to high-quality materials such as stainless-steel and organic cotton.
Mesh material increases the surface area, providing a more consistent vaping experience. The Invoking Slide is a mouth to lung tank that’s designed by Phil Bushido and Dimitri Agrafiotis, two guys that are very well-known in vaping circles.
It is part of the Platform line of beginner-friendly products, and in many ways can be considered a follow-up to one of the best MTL tanks on the market, the Zenith. In any case, the Slide takes the same coils as the Zenith (and the rest of the Platform products) and comes with some very welcome updates to the looks and functionality of its predecessor.
The coil also functions as the 510 pin of the tank, which is a great feature as 510s tend to get dirty after long use. A very important feature of the Slide, and a great improvement over the Zenith, is the ability to replace the glass tank if it breaks.
At the same time, this means that the Slide can be taken apart for cleaning–although you will need a T2 Torn screwdriver to remove the sliding top cap if you want to be real thorough. Not being able to replace the glass was one of my biggest gripes with the Zenith, and I was very happy to see that this was fixed on the Slide.
The utilitarian design has been replaced by a curvier and slicker look, the branding is more discreet, and the paint job feels much better. I’ll start by saying that the Z -coils are excellent and if you enjoy MTL vaping you will certainly find one that suits you.
Compared to the Z blip, the Slide allows for further customization with its four airflow options and the fine-tuning that comes with using a mod. Back when testing the Zenith I went through 40 mL of juice on the 1.6 and the 0.8-ohm coils, and they were still performing great.
Not the tightest MTL draw Holds only 2 mL Replacing the glass is a bit of complicated Flavor carry-over on the mesh-style coils T2 Torn screwdriver not included Until the Zenith II arrives, the Slide is the best MTL tank your money can buy.

What strikes you even before opening it up is the sturdy weight, it just feels expensive but not to heavy. Under the flap reveals the top layer which contains the Cool fire Z50 mod and the Slide 22 tank along with a spare glass.
1 x Cool fire Z50 Mod 1 x Slide Tank 1 × 1.2 Z Coil (10-14 watts) pre-installed 1 × 0.8 Z Coil (15-18 watts) 1 x Micro USB Cable 1 x Replacement glass tube 1 x Spare drip tip 1 x Spare o-ring set 1 x Quick Start Guide Unboxing had already left a good impression as it oozes class, but getting hold of the mod and popping the tank on was even better.
I was already falling for this kit even before I had tested it, I could only hope that the Slide tank met my picky expectations. There’s nothing special about the extras, the spare drip tip was a nice touch, but it’s a bit basic.
I didn’t research the Z50 kit prior to receiving it, so I had no idea what features it had, it turns out that there are very few. This is one of the most basic functionality mods I have come across, not necessarily a bad thing for MTL stock coil users that simply want a fire and forget device.
After I spent a few minutes admiring the elegance of the mod, I turned my attention to the Slide 22 tank. Visually it’s very impressive and well engineered, the caged design protects the glass from accidents and the slide top looks and functions really well.
The AFC (Airflow Control) protrudes ever so slightly which makes it so much easier to adjust when it’s on the mod (a very nice touch). As I have already mentioned, the mod looks so classy with the contemporary design, and the semi Matt finish adds to its looks and also prevents it from being a fingerprint magnet.
I try to avoid RTFM (Read The F**king Manual) wherever possible and try to suss out the controls on my own. The matching color Slide tank suits the mod perfectly and has a few more features to discuss.
Once opened, it reveals the juice fill port with plenty of room to fit your liquid bottle nozzle, fill it up and slide it back into place, insert the drip-tip to lock it into place, you can use your own 510 drip tips if you prefer not to use the locking feature, but you risk it coming open in your pocket. The tank strips down easily and logically, everything is well machined and the threads feel smooth.
There’s one little feature I can’t recall seeing on other 22 mm tanks I own, and that is the subtle protruding AFC (Airflow Control). It takes little effort to slide it out of the cage, the silicone seals are a perfect fit without being too tight and wedging everything stuck, a small thing but shows the good quality design.
I worked my way up to my sweet spot of 12 watts on this coil, and I really enjoyed the warm and flavorful vape. The airflow is good and the AFC closed off to the smallest hole gives you a nice tight MTL (Mouth To Lung) draw, opened up fully gives a restrictive DL (Direct Lung) hit.
As previously mentioned, the AFC ring is very easy to adjust yet firm enough not to accidentally change. The coil wicking holes sit as low as possible, so you can almost run it until empty without any dry hits.
After I used the 1.2 coil for a few days, I then moved onto the 0.8 Coil which is another plain wire Kantian and suitable for 50VG/50PG liquid. I was getting plenty of flavor, a nice throat hit and surprisingly large vapor production.
I lowered the wattage to 15 watts and closed the airflow for an MTL draw, it was good but not as enjoyable as the 1.2 coil for my tastes. The battery life from the 2100mAh cell was pretty good and lasted me just shy of two days with regular use, noticeably shorter on the 0.8 coil for obvious reasons.
Charging felt pretty slow to what I am used to, generally over two hours from 30% to 100% and the mod gets quite warm as there are no battery vents which is a little surprising. I am more than delighted with the gorgeous looking mod and the superb Slide 22 tank with stock coils to rival mesh, and I still find myself admiring the Z50 between vapes, and it takes pride of place on my table.
Part of vaping isn’t just what you inhale, the visuals and kit satisfaction shouldn’t be ignored. Invoking visual designers have come up with a stunner to equal the Slide 22 tank, in this case.
