Reviewed 2 April 2017 We chose to stay here on our wedding night, and it was absolutely the perfect decision. We live in Cornwall ourselves and knew of Watergate Hotel and had also heard from friends who had stayed there.
I have travelled a lot and been in many hotels over the years and this is hands down one of my favorite stays. One arrival a very polite and friendly receptionist checked us in without fault and asked us how our journey was, how our day was and congratulated us on our marriage.
We had booked dinner bed and breakfast which turned out to be very reasonable, we arrived at Zachary for dinner and once again the staff couldn't be more helpful the menu was interesting and the food was absolutely delicious when I booked (several months ago) I mentioned the reason for the wind away was my husbands birthday, when his sweet arrived it had happy Birthday written on the plate, I thought that was a very nice personal touch. Watergate is definitely one to visit again, and it's proximity to New quay airport makes it so easy from Yorkshire.
