The typical duties of a zookeeper on a daily basis usually include administering medication; feeding the animals; cleaning and maintaining the enclosure; assisting with veterinary procedures; reporting unusual changes in behavior; keeping detailed records, and so on. In case you decide to follow this career path, you can expect to earn anywhere between $21.000 and $49.000 annually.

You should begin acquiring practical experience as soon as possible; a lot of zoos have internship programs that have been developed especially for college students. Between 2018 and 2028, the animal care and service workers (including zookeepers) job market is expected to grow by 16%, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Bear in mind that there is a limited number of zoos, thus the competition for the positions will remain strong. Volunteering at various organizations and seeking internship opportunities will be extremely helpful for your future career; experience in animal handling is vitally important.

Zoos often give first priority to the candidates that have interned there while still in college; moreover, paid internships are available. In Zookeeper, the animals at the Franklin Park Zoo love their kindhearted caretakers, Griffin Eyes (Kevin James).

The animals, in a panic, decide to break their time-honored code of silence and reveal their biggest secret they can talk! The film also starts Rosario Dawson and Leslie BBB and features the voices of Cher, Nick Note, Adam Sandler, and Sylvester Stallone.

He was raised in Stony Brook, and attended SUN Cortland, where he played fullback on the football team while majoring in sports management. After returning home, he decided to break up the monotony of the summer, and joined a community theater.

During a play in which he had a comedic role, he so enjoyed the crowd reaction, that he joined his brother's (comedian Gary Valentine's) improve group. After appearing on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (1992), his big break came at the 1996 “Just for Laughs” Montreal Comedy Festival.

He starred in his own sitcom, The King of Queens (1998), as Doug Jefferson, from 1998 to 2007, and later began a career as a leading film actor, co-starring in Hitch (2005), I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry (2007), Grown Ups (2010), and Grown Ups 2 (2013), and headlining Paul Blast: Mall Cop (2009), Zookeeper (2011), Here Comes the Boom (2012), and Paul Blast: Mall Cop 2 (2015). Dawson's powerhouse talent stands out the most in edgy, urban filming that dates back to 1995 when she was only sixteen.

Rosario and her younger brother, Clay Dawson, had it hard while growing up, and were cared for by family members, most of whom were poverty-stricken, and some of whom were HIV-positive. One of them, Harmony Corine, was an aspiring screenwriter who thought the inexperienced sixteen-year-old was ideal for the controversial cult film Kids (1995), in which she would portray a sexually active adolescent.

Since then, she has moved into main-stream hits (and misses) and has surprised viewers with her earthy, provocative, uninhibited approach to her roles. Reflecting New York's tougher, tawdrier side as assorted streetwalkers, homeless mothers, drug addicts, etc., her film highlights have included Light It Up (1999), Edward Burns' Sidewalks of New York (2001), Spike Lee's 25th Hour (2002) and Shattered Glass (2003).

She hooked up with Prince for the re-release of his 1980s hit “1999” and appeared in The Chemical Brothers' video for the song “Out of Control” from the album “Surrender”. On stage, she co-starred as Julia in a revival of “Two Gentlemen of Verona” at the Public Theater's “Shakespeare in the Park” and appeared in “The Vagina Monologues”.

She lucked into and got to show off her singing chops in the film adaptation of the hit New York musical Rent (2005), when Daphne Rubin-Vega, the original Mimi, became pregnant and was unable to reprise her exotic dancer role. Her more popular ventures have thus far included the role of Valerie Brown in the live-action version of the comic strip Josie and the Pussycats (2001), the Will Smith starred Men in Black II (2002), Eagle Eye (2008) with Shia LeBoeuf and Seven Pounds (2008), again with Smith, in which she offered one of her more tender-hearted performances as a woman with a potentially fatal heart condition.

Off-camera, the still-single Dawson is highly active in political, social and environmental causes and has been involved with such organizations/charities/campaigns as the Lower East Side Girls Club, Global Cool, the O.N.E. More This athletically built, dark-haired American actor/screenwriter/director may never be mentioned by old-school film critics in the same breath as, say, Richard Burton or Alec Guinness; however, movie fans worldwide have been flocking to see Stallone's films for over 30 years, making “Sly” one of Hollywood's biggest-ever box office draws.

The young Stallone attended the American College of Switzerland and the University of Miami, eventually obtaining a B.A. Initially, he struggled in small parts in films such as the soft-core The Party at Kitty and Stud's (1970), the thriller Flute (1971) and the comedy Bananas (1971).

He got a crucial career break alongside fellow young actor Henry Winkler, sharing lead billing in the effectively written teen gang film The Lords of Flat bush (1974). Whilst full credit is wholly deserved by Stallone, he was duly supported by tremendous acting from fellow cast members Tania Shire, Burgess Meredith and Burt Young, and director John G. Children gave the film an emotive, earthy appeal from start to finish.

Stallone had truly arrived at his terms, and offers poured in from various studios eager to secure Hollywood's hottest new star. The second outing for the “Italian Stallion” wasn't as powerful or successful as the first “Rocky”; however, it still produced strong box office.

Subsequent films Nighthawks (1981) and Victory (1981) failed to ignite with audiences, so Stallone was once again lured back to familiar territory with Rocky III (1982) and a fearsome opponent in “Clubber Lang” played by muscular ex-bodyguard Mr. T. The third “Rocky” installment far outperformed the first sequel in box office takings, but Stallone retired his prizefighter for a couple of years as another mega-franchise was about to commence for the busy actor. The character of Green Beret “John Rambo” was the creation of Canadian-born writer David Morrell, and his novel was adapted to the screen with Stallone in the lead role in First Blood (1982), also starring Richard Brenna and Brian Kennedy.

The movie was a surprise hit that polarized audiences because of its commentary about the Vietnam War, which was still relatively fresh in the American public's psyche. But they say there is no such thing as bad publicity, and “John Rambo's” second adventure was a major money spinner for Stallone and cemented him as one of the top male stars of the 1980s.

Riding a wave of amazing popularity, Stallone called on old sparring partner Rocky Balboa to climb back into the ring to defend American pride against a Soviet threat in the form of a towering Russian boxer named “Ivan Drag” played by curt Dolph Lindgren in Rocky IV (1985). Stallone continued forward with a slew of macho character-themed films that met with a mixed reception from his fans.

Cobra (1986) was a clumsy mess, Over the Top (1987) was equally mediocre, Rambo III (1988) saw Rambo take on the Russians in Afghanistan, and cop buddy film Tango & Cash (1989) just did not quite hit the mark, although it did feature a top-notch cast and there was chemistry between Stallone and co-star Kurt Russell. Or My Mom Will Shoot (1992), the futuristic action film Demolition Man (1993), and the comic book-inspired Judge Dread (1995).

Interestingly, Stallone then took a departure from the gunshot steely characters he had been portraying to stack on a few extra pounds and tackle a more dramatically challenging role in the intriguing Cop Land (1997), also starring Robert De Niro and Ray Gotta. Stallone then lent his vocal talents to the animated adventure story Anti (1998), reprised the role made famous by Michael Caine in a terrible remake of Get Carter (2000), climbed back into a race car for Driven (2001), and guest-starred as the “Toy maker” in the third chapter of the immensely popular “Spy Kids” film series, Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over (2003).

Love him or loathe him, Sylvester Stallone has built an enviable and highly respected career in Hollywood; plus, he has considerably influenced modern popular culture through several of his iconic film characters. He is the son of Italian-American parents, Katherine (Cinderella), a jazz singer, and Nicholas Torture, a construction worker and carpenter, who was born in Giovinazzo.

After attending various Catholic schools, he graduated and majored in theater at Delphi University for two years, but left to marry Jami Bruno and help raise their child, Erica. Nick branched out on his own after this and earned parts in the movies Federal Hill (1994) and Excess Baggage (1997), and garnered serious TV attention as rookie detective “James Martinez” on NYPD Blue (1993).

Very dark in tone and complexion, the compact-framed Nick certainly has had a wealth of experience in mob drama, playing a young Al Capone in one guest appearance, and assorted mobster types in other TV-movies. He has lightened up on a rare occasion in such comedies as The Drew Carey Show (1995) and in a couple of failed pilots.

On stage, Nick has appeared in “Wild Goose”, “The Resistible Rise of Arturo UI” (with John) “Lusting After Point's Wife” and “Sid down: Conversations With the Mob”. He's appeared in a number of John's projects over the years that have also occasionally featured cousin Aida Torture (from The Sopranos (1999) fame).

During his freshman year, he snagged a recurring role as the Suitable family's friend Smitty on The Cosby Show (1984). While working at a comedy club in L.A., he was “discovered” by Dennis Miller, who recommended him to Saturday Night Live (1975) producer Borne Michael's and told him that Sandler had a big talent.

After Saturday Night Live (1975), Sandler went on to the movies, starring in such hit comedies as Airheads (1994), Happy Gilmore (1996), Billy Madison (1995) and Big Daddy (1999). Deeds (2002) alongside Winona Ryder; Eight Crazy Nights (2002), an animated movie about the Jewish festival of Chanukah; and Punch-Drunk Love (2002).

More The beat goes on ... and on ... and as strong as ever for this superstar entertainer who has well surpassed the four-decade mark while improbably transforming herself from an artificial, glossy “flashionplate” singer into a serious, Oscar-worthy, dramatic actress ... and back again! At age 62, Cher has yet to decide to get completely off her fabulous roller coaster ride, although she has threatened to on occasion.

The daughter of a truck driver, John Parisian, and an Arkansas-born mother, Georgia Holt (the former Jackie Jean Crouch), Cher was born in El CENTR, California, on May 20, 1946. The father deserted the family when Cher was young, and she was raised by their mother who later married Gilbert LaPierre, a banker.

The couple's relationship eventually shifted from soul mates to lovers and she and Sonny married on October 27, 1964. Sonny then decided they needed to perform as a team, so they put out two songs in 1964 under the recording names of Caesar and Cleo (“The Letter” and “Baby Don't Go”).

The changing of their names, however, seemed to make a difference and in 1965, they officially took on the music world as Sonny & Cher and earned instant rewards. The kooky couple became icons of the late '60s “flower power” scene, wearing garish garb and outlandish hairdos and makeup.

TV musical variety and teen pop showcases relished their contrasting styles -- the short, excitable, mustachioed, nasal-toned simpleton and the taller, exotic, unflappable fashion maven. They found a successful formula with their repartee, which became a central factor in their live concert shows, even more than their singing.

Sonny even arranged film projects for her but Good Times (1967), an offbeat fantasy starring the couple and directed by future powerhouse William Fried kin, and Cher's serious solo effort Chastity (1969) both flickered out and died a quick death. By the end of the 1960s, Sonny & Cher's career had stumbled as they witnessed the American pop culture experience a drastic evolutionary change.

The couple maintained their stage act and all the while Sonny continued to polish it up in a shrewd gamble for TV acceptance. Although the couple had lost favor with the new 70s generation, Sonny encouraged TV talent scouts to catch their live act.

The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour (1971) was given the green light as a summer replacement series and was an instant sensation when it earned its own time spot that fall season. Their lively, off-the-wall comedy sketch routines, her outré Bob Mackie fashions and their harmless, edgy banter were the highlights of the hour-long program.

Cher's TV success also generated renewed interest in her as a solo recording artist, and she came up with three #1 hits during this time (“Gypsy's, Tramps & Thieves,” “Half-Breed” and “Dark Lady”). The show, which had earned Cher a Golden Globe Award, took a fast tumble as the separation and divorce grew more acrimonious.

Centering around a reunion of girlfriends from an old James Dean fan club, her performance was critically lauded. This earned her the right to transfer her stage triumph to film alongside Karen Black and Sandy Dennis.

With film #2 came a Best Supporting Actress Oscar nomination and a Golden Globe win for her portrayal of a lesbian toiling in a nuclear parts' factory in Silk wood (1983), starring Meryl Streep and Kurt Russell. Once again Cher received high praise and copped a win from the Cannes Film Festival for her poignant performance.

Proving that she could hold up a film outright, she was handed three hit vehicles to star in: The Witches of Eastwick (1987), Suspect (1987), and Moonstruck (1987), for which she won the Academy Award for Best Actress. During the 1990s Cher continued to veer back and forth among films, TV specials and expensively mounted concerts.

In January 1998, tragedy struck when Cher's ex-husband Sonny Bono, who had forsaken an entertainment career for California politics and became a popular Republican congressman in the process, was killed in a freak skiing accident. Having little to prove anymore to anyone, Cher decided to embark on a “Farewell Tour” in the early part of the millennium and, after much stretching, her show finally closed in 2005 in Los Angeles.
